Group20
(Aaron Eakin & Joe Lampitt)
Our model is a spider. It has eight individually controllable legs as
well as a controllable head and fangs.
You can orient it so that it is standing on all eight legs, as in the
picture, or you can stand it up on two legs,
so that the other six legs act more like arms. This allows our character
to have more story telling possibilities
than if it had to walk on all eight legs. The spider also has three
distinct moods: happy, sad, and mad.
When he is happy, his fangs go away, he raises his head, and he waves;
when sad, his fangs go away, he
drops and shakes his head, and starts crying; and when mad, his fangs get
larger, and he begins moving his
front most legs and fangs, as if trying to eat you. Other features of the
model include the ability to orient the
camera anywhere around the spider, the ability to move and change the
color of the first light source, the ability
to turn on a second, animated light source, the ability to change leg and
fang length, and the ability to change the
level of detail of the spider.
