Amazing Stories (Group 1)
Armature: It may not be obvious, but
everybody has
their own talents.
Once there was a young girl named Sage. Sage lived in a village
of young girls where every young girl had a job doing something.
Everyday, Sage would try a different task to see whether that was her
skill or not. However, she wasn't able to succeed at
anything. When she gardened, her plants died while those tended
by other girls thrived. When she tried blacksmithing, she would
destroy the things she was making, while the other girls worked with
ease. When she tried sewing, the arms on her garments were too
long and uneven. As she tried and failed at these tasks that came
to the other girls so effortlessly, the other girls would make fun of
her.
Finally, Sage became despondent. She felt she didn't belong. She
gathered up some of her things and left the village.
Sage traveled around and saw many strange and wondrous sights: an
aurora borealis, a luch garden, a huge waterfall, a huge palace.
She met a king and saw many strange mythological animals.
Eventually she finds herself back at her village. Reluctantly,
she enters the village.
She sits by a fire burning in the center of town, and a younger girls
from the village joins her. Sage begins talking about her journey
and her adventures. Soon more girls join, and then more
still. They are all enraptured by her tales of adventure and the
strange places she has seen and the interesting people she has
met. At this point, Sage realizes that storytelling is her
special talent.
From that night on Stage is the village storyteller and kept the
village children entertained.
Dashboard Figures Story(Group 2)
Armature:
This story is about a once strong
relationship being broken by love, but ends in love.
Once upon a time there was a semi-truck driver who
delivered materials. Although successful in his business, he never had
any time to settle down and find a wife because he was always on the
move, so he was very lonely. But, this story is not about the
truck driver, but the dashboard figures that he uses to ease the
loneliness of the open road. Among his various figures, are a
bobble-head dog and a pine tree air-freshener. Now, with all this
time on the road, the bobble-head dog and the air-freshener have grown
used to each other. From Arizona to Detroit, Seattle to Boston,
these two unlikely pair became good friends. One day, the driver
pulls over into a town along the highway and is gone for quite some
time. When he returns to the truck, the two figures are stunned
when with a quick motion; the driver rips open a box and slaps a hula
dancer girl between the two figures. The bobble-head dog was
immediately attracted. Once back on the road, to the disgust of
the air-freshener, the bobble-head dog moved closer and closer to
the hula dancer. Annoyed, the air-freshener stood in silence as
his friendship with his companion withered away thanks to this new
attracton. Suddenly, the driver hit a pot-hole on the road and
the bobble-head doll flew out of the driver-side window of the truck,
never to be seen again. Shocked but grateful, the air-freshener
had the hula dancer all to himself, for now and the road to come.
