CSE 456 - Story for Digital Animation

    Assignment #6
For your final project in the class, you will be turning in a pre-production packet that will be printed on paper and include all of your previous assignments plus the final versions of everything related to your Picture Perfect Animatic. Please be sure everything is properly labeled with your name and the name of the class and assignment. Use your assignment sheets and your checklist sheets to determine what is expected of the material in the pre-production packet. If you need clarification write to Barbara directly.

In addition you will be asked to place 2 copies of your last 2 versions of the work you did in the Cinematic Sandbox. You will need to have the correct audio, and the visual story will need to be synchronized to the music. The total running time of the animatic for your film needs to be no longer than 3 minutes. We prefer it much closer to 2 minutes or 2:30 minutes.

Use the naming convention for your Cinematic Sandbox Files and add the 2 CD's into the notebook that contains the paperwork in chronological order ( Assignment 1, 2, and so on). Don't forget to put your name on the CD's and the notebook and make sure they are securely fastened to the notebook.

You have an alternate option for Assignment #6 based on your interest and what you would like to focus on. Everything else related to requirements for the course will remain the same.

You can choose to draw storyboards, create faux animation and scan it all into Adobe Premiere, render it out with your audio clip and submit it on two CD/DVD's with your pre-production packet notebook. You will provide everything else but the final work via the Cinematic Sandbox. You will all be expected to be prepared to pitch your story and show your final visual version in class on Tuesday.

Please contact Barbara and the staff if you have questions or need clarification on your assignment.

The notebook will be due in to Barbara by class time on July 19th. The final version of the Cinematic Sandbox files or the Premiere renders will be due in by midnight on July 20th.
