Spot, looking bored and discontent,
is lying in a clearing surrounded by seaweed and coral where he is doodling
in the sand with his fins. |

Spot stops doodling and
looks down. |

picture he has drawn in the sand of his surroundings (the colors are muted). |

Spot parts the seaweed and
looks out. |

He sees the Maelstroms,
covered in cuts and scrapes, swimming by and looking happy. |

The Maelstroms take turns
at touching the soft inside of a shellfish and swimming quickly away before
the shellfish snaps shut. They look
happy and high-five each other with their fins. |

Spot looks out longingly
through the seaweed. |

at bouncing on a crab and swimming quickly away before the pincers grab
them. They look happy and cheer each

Spot swims off with the
Maelstroms. They all look happy. |

ACT II |
2 |
The Maelstroms get excited
when they see a sleeping whale. |
2 |
One by one the Maelstroms sneak up and touch the whale’s face and then high-five each other. |

2 |
It is Spot’s turn to touch the whale. Spot has a fearful expression on his face. |
|
3 |
Spot closes his eyes and
swims slowly towards the whale’s face, tentatively waving his fin around in
an effort to touch the whale. |
|
3 |
Before Spot reaches the
whale, the whale wakes up and slowly opens its eyes. |
|
3 |
Spot pokes the whale’s eye
with his fin. |
|
3 |
Spot, looking relieved,
begins to open his eyes. |
|
3 |
Spot sees that he is
staring into the eye of the angry whale and is terrified. |
|
4 |
Spot starts swimming away
from the whale as fast as he can. |
|
4 |
The whale chases Spot into
a hole in a rock. |
|
4 |
The whale rams the rock. |
|
4 |
A terrified Spot is looking
out of the hole. |

The whale looks into the
hole. |
|
4 |
The whale gives up and swims
away. |

ACT III |
5 |
The Maelstroms come by looking around for Spot. |
5 |
The Maelstroms find Spot as he is leaving the hole, still looking uneasy, and excitedly cheer him with their fins and wave to him to come along. |

Spot looks at the whale swimming away. |
|
5 |
Spot vehemently shakes his head in refusal. |
|
5 |
Spot, looking determined,
and the Maelstroms, still excited, swim in different directions. |

5 |
Spot looks at the picture
he had drawn of himself with the Maelstroms. |

5 |
Spot frowns. |
|
5 |
Spot sweeps himself out of
the picture with his fins. |

Spot, looking happy, starts
drawing in the sand with his fins. |
