ACTS	SEQ	BEAT DESCRIPTIONS
I	1	WS of the outside of Yao’s house. A dragon goes by. Titles overlayed.
	2	Yao is on his way to setting the table and looks at a photo of himself being carried away by a large bunch of balloons as Mei holds on to keep him from floating off.
	2	Yao sets the table and admires his decorating job.
	2	Yao cooks dinner.
	2	Yao combs his hair into a fancy style and there’s a knock at the door.
II	3	Mei ruffles his hair and in response, Yao ruffles his hair even more until it gets bigger and bigger. Mei pats it down again.
	3	Yao sits Mei down and brings her bamboo for dinner. He puts spices on it and because she likes it, he dumps a ton more spices on it. He encourages Mei to try it and it is way too spicy and she drinks water.
	4	Yao brings in fresh bamboo and Mei points out the fireworks to Yao and he gets the idea to put a firecracker in her food and Mei likes it.
	5	Yao brings in a cake covered in fireworks and Mei is frightened and tries to stop him from lighting it but he doesn’t notice.
	5	The fuses on the fireworks are lit one by one as Yao looks on excitedly and Mei looks on in horror.
	5	The cake blows up.
	6	When the smoke clears, an angry Mei smashes cake in Yao’s face.
	6	Yao looks around at the destroyed terrace.
	6	They finish the food and when Yao leaves to get the next course, Mei gulps down water.
III	7	Yao arrives at Mei’s house with a mountain of flowers and so many flowers in his arms that he must ring the doorbell with his foot.
	7	When Mei comes to the door she is annoyed.
	7	Yao throws all the flowers aside except for one and Mei kisses him.
