ACTS	SEQ	BEAT DESCRIPTIONS
I	1	WS of the outside of Yao’s house. A dragon goes by. Titles overlayed.
	1	Yao holding dishes is walking over to set the table. Stops in front of a picture of Mei and him with a bunch of balloons and melts with love.
	1	Yao sets the table and proudly looks around the room.
	1	Yao prepares a large amount of food.
	1	Yao primps in the mirror, combs his hair excessively and decides to slick it back.
	1	He hears a knock at the door.
	1	He opens the door for Mei and she notices that his hair is super slicked back, and ruffles it back to normal.
	1	Yao ruffles it up into a huge afro, and looks at Mei who pats it back down.
	1	He pulls out a chair for her and seats her at the table on a terrace.
II	2	He brings her the first course and sprinkles some spice on it, and she tries it and likes it.
	2	Yao pours the entire bottle of spice on the food. Mei hesitates but Yao insists that she take a bite, so she does and her eyes start watering and her mouth starts to burn so she pushes the dish away.
	2	When Yao leaves to get the next dish, she frantically gulps down water.
	3	Yao brings in the next course and Mei points out the fireworks outside to Yao.
	3	Yao wanting to impress Mei grabs a firework from the decorations and sticks it in her food.
	3	The firework pops and Mei is pleased.
	4	He runs into the kitchen and gets dessert.
	4	He brings in a cake completely covered by fireworks.
	4	He lights the first firework on the cake. She puts her hand on his shoulder in fear and he directs her attention to the fireworks.
	4	The rest of the fuses on the fireworks are lit by this one.
	4	The cake blows up.
	4	The smoke clears and Mei is completely blackened and Yao has black spots.
	4	Mei gets very angry, smashes cake in Yao’s face and leaves. Cake drips down his face.
	4	Yao looks around at the damage done and hangs his head.
III	5	Yao drags a wagon full of flowers up to Mei’s door. He picks up a huge armful of flowers from this wagon,
	5	Because of the flowers, he must ring the doorbell with his foot
	5	Mei opens the door and looks worried.
	5	Yao sees her reaction, and tosses all but one flower away and hands it to her.
	5	Mei accepts the flower and she gives him a kiss.
