ACTS	SEQ	BEAT DESCRIPTIONS
I	1	Yao prepares food in excess, over-using spices, tasting it and reacting.
	1	Yao decorates excessively: a sea of flower petals on the floors, many table cloths, tons of candles
	1	Yao primps in the mirror, changing his hair style repeatedly. Photos of him and Mei together are seen on the mirror, which he looks at.
	1	He hears a knock at the door.
II	2	He opens the door for Mei and she hugs him hello. He hugs her too tightly.
	2	He pulls out a chair for her and seats her at the table outside his house.
	2	He brings her the appetizer, and she smiles. She points out the fireworks to him.
	2	He grabs a single firework and sticks it in the food.
	2	She nervously laughs.
	2	She pushes the dish out of the way to give him a kiss, but his eyes follow the dish, and he runs in to get more food.
	3	He brings in main course, and it has more fireworks than the last.
	3	She looks alarmed and cautiously finishes her meal.
	3	He runs into the kitchen and gets dessert.
	4	He brings in a cake completely covered by fireworks.
	4	He lights the first firework on the cake and he looks at her, anticipating her reaction. She puts her hand on his shoulder in fear and he directs her attention to the fireworks.
	4	The rest of the candles on the fireworks are lit by this one.
	4	The cake blows up.
	4	The smoke clears and the girl is shown missing her hair and eyebrows and they are both covered in cake.
	4	The girl gets very angry and removes burnt cake from her face and storms out.
III	5	Yao is in front of Mei’s door with a huge pile of flowers. Because of the flowers, he must ring the doorbell with his foot.
	5	Mei opens the door and looks concerned.
	5	Yao sees her reaction, and tosses all but one rose away and hands it to her.
	5	Mei accepts the flower and she gives him a kiss.
