Mounted View of Paccar Hall
Paccar is a pretty cool semi glass building. We wanted to do a panorama out on the balcony, but it was closed so we looked around and decided to take the panorama on the 5th floor. There was a security guard that kept giving us the eye. We had fun putting ourselves in the image multiple times.
Handheld View of CSE Lounge
This was taken in the lounge on the 5th floor of the CSE building. It's a cozy place with a really cool painting. I like color of corner with the lamp shining light against the wood railing. We were worried about the alignment, but it turned out well.
Test Sequence
We're happy with how this turned out. The bottom and top was cropped.
Notes
For Features, Peter and I started off working on it together. There were two places where we got stuck: Generating the Harris image and getting the right matrix for warpGlobal. For the Harris image, we didn't have the right weights and for the xform matrix, we weren't combining the matricies in the right order. ~Josh
As for Panorama, after the fact, the concepts aren't especially hard, it just took awhile to get past the learning curve. Probably had the most problems with alignPair, and conceptually I have problems with the RANSAC approach with there being a chance of the algorithm failing for a perfectly good match (no matter how small that chance is). The blending was kind of interesting to work through and figure out. ~Peter
Extra Credit: We created a panorama with each of us in it multiple times.
