Van Gogh\Mona Lisa composite

I started with these two portraits:

Mask(s) made with iScissor.
To cut out Van Gogh's face I created this mask, you might notice we cut off part of his ear:

and also used this mask to account for the Mona Lisa's clothing, hair, and veil.

Process

To arrive at my final image I did the following steps in Photoshop:

Immediately after adding Van Gogh's face cut out with the mask we obtain:

Moved and resized to her face:

After applying the mask for her clothing and hair:

After some color balancing, light adjustments, resizing, and slight feathering of the mask and blurring:

I added another layer which transitions the right side of the face more smoothly to match the original light to get the final image.
