Original Images

My four original images include a model of the Millenium Falcon and the two Tie Fighters (the contents of the bottle) and the bottle itself containing the its original ship (perhaps photoshopped in?).

Masks made with iScissor

Pretty straight forward masking of the three new ships in the bottle. Unfortunately I wasn't able to figure out how to cut out the original ship so I used the stamp/smear tools to remove it (explained in depth later).

Creating the final product

To arrive at my final image I did the following steps in Photoshop:
  1. Removing the ship was the most involved part since cutting and pasting wasn't possible. This was done by hand with the rubber stamp tool run horizontally across the bottle to keep the lighting consistent. The white background made the process a lot easier though. A little smudge tool at the end smoothed the whole look out.
  2. Repeated for each new ship: masked out the ship with the mask from iScissors and pasted the result onto the bottle. Arranged for action like effect.
  3. Same stamp and smudge process for the the lettering on the gold plate on the base. Text tool.
  4. The final step was to copy the background bottle picture to the foreground and reduce the opacity to about 35% for glass-like effect.
