Making
the Mask

The mask was made using by creating a contour with the intelligent
scissors feature of iSissors and then saving the mask. The cut out
image was built by:
1) Placing the cutout above the original as a new layer in GIMP
2) Making a mask using the whitespace in the new layer
3) Selecting that mask and then deleting the second layer
4) Cutting out the the parts of the first image that are not in the
mask selection
