    I started with pictures of Steven Colbert as inspiration (always a good place to start). Colbert's show often talks about the "Colbert Nation", which led me to the idea of a Colbert Island.
    Mask(s) made with iScissor.
    I cut out the outline of Steven to use as the mask.
    Final Image.


    To arrive at my final image I did the following steps in Photoshop:

  • I used the mask to get just the pixels which were part of Colbert
  • I resized the Colbert image to match the height of the person in castaway
  • I moved the Colbert image into place in the castaway image
