    The background is Francisco Goya's Black Painting "Duel with Cudgels" (or at least it might be called that /history), the image I masked was a picture of Valve CEO Gabe Newell holding a minigun.

    This is a mask of Gabe's Head.

    The result is a really pretentious and unoriginal statement.
    To arrive at my final image I did the following steps in Gimp:

  • Open the mask and gabe image.
  • Create an inverted greyscale mask from the mask layer.
  • Flatten the image, select everything that isn't gabe's head and make that transparent.
  • Copypaste Gabe's head onto the image and write dumb message.
