Kadian Head #1

Boardwalk

This and the following two pictures were taken at the new Lewis Creek Park between Bellevue and Issaquah. The strong corners and edges of the boardwalk really helped the L-K algorithm align the pictures; however, some parallax effects occured with the trees but from a quick glance it still looks quite natural.

Kadian Head #2

The Pitcher's View

Also at the park was a pair of baseball fields. This view was taken from the pitcher's mound of one of them. The other field can be seen off into the distance. It looks like the swirlling patterns of red dust in the otherwise gray sand helped the L-K find where the images matched up.

Handheld

"A bit up the hill..."

Handheld images, without any sort of on-screen assistance can be difficult to take. Also complicating the algorithm is the strong parallax effect generated by spinning in the circle on an axis not on the optical center. While the image is somewhat blurry, the general appearance of the area is relative accurate
