The panorama viewer doesn't work on my local machine. It may or may not work when uploaded to the CSE website. (This also means that I couldn't test the various cylinder parameters, so if the viewer does work, it still may not look right.)
This is a panorama taken from the bridge leading from Schmitz Hall to Red Square over 15th Avenue. It was taken using a tripod to stablize the camera. This one turned out better than I had planned; both the close up and far away parts are nicely lined up and fairly sharp. I thought I would have problems with 'ghosting' since there were so many moving cars and people around, but I ended up managing to avoid them for the most part.
This is a panorama taken from the entrance to Kane Hall. I was anticipating having exposure problems considering the vastly different amounts of light in each image, but I managed to get the difference to blend away nicely. This was taken by hand. I didn't realize until I stitched the panorama together that I missed an image at the end! Thus, this panorama doesn't quite go all 360 degrees. Additionally, a very large exposure difference in one of the later images made the LucasKanade algorithm fail to provide the correct offset, which results in double images in one location (near the automatic door opener on the left).
This is the result of running the test sequence of images through my program.
