  • Original Images:
I found each of the nature images by searching for "
mouse" and "running cats" on Google Images. They seemed interesting enough to use. The links for these picture link back to the original source images from the web.
    Mask(s) made with iScissor:
Using iScissor, I produced the following masks for the three above images. Both the cheeta and cse masks were somewhat difficult to create as iScissor kept picking the wrong edges, so extensive brushwork was needed to select the proper edges.
    Final Image:

To arrive at my final image I performed the following steps in Photoshop:

    1. Since the CSE image started as an extremely high-res version, I reduced the image size to a web-managable size.
    2. For each of the mask/image pairs (cheeta, cse, and mouse) I produced a new layer by masking the color version with the iScissor masks.
    3. I then layered each of the new layers on top of an unmasked CSE picture in the following order:
      • Cheeta (masked) (top)
      • CSE (masked)
      • Mouse (masked)
      • CSE (unmasked) (bottom)
    4. In order to better position the cheeta, I flipped its masked version over the vertical axis.
    5. After resizing the cheeta to be small and the mouse to be slightly smaller, and placing each of the images carefully to fit with the rest of the image, the final product was formed:

No animals are known to have been directly harmed in the creation of this image :-)
