One big problem with the program built in this project is that even if it can be used to produce really cool 3d reconstructions of an image, it is very hard and time consuming to make a nice and accurate reconstruction. Hopefully with all the research going on it should be possible to do a lot more automatically, e.g. finding the vanishing points, polygon edges etc.
This is a ray traced image that I found on the net. I choose to start with this one since it was easy to get a pretty 3d reconstruction without much trouble.

Notice the changing of the painting on the wall.
A picture of Stonehenge I found by doing a search on google. Because of time limit I didn't reconstruct all the stones, but the result still looks pretty cool.
