Getting Started with SQL Server
- Go to Start->Programs->Microsoft SQL Server->Enterprise Manager.
- Expand "Microsoft SQL Servers" and right-click on "SQL Server Group". Choose
"New SQL Server Registration".
- "Register SQL Server Wizard" opens:
- Screen 1: Click "Next".
- Screen 2: Double click on "ISQL02" to select it, then click "Next".
- Screen 3: Select the second radio button saying "The SQL Server login
information that was assigned to me by the system administrator (SQL Server
Authentication)", then click "Next".
- Screen 4: Enter your login and password, then click "Next".
- Screen 5: Click "Next".
- Screen 6: The "ISQL02" should appear on the list. Click "Finish".
You will then receive a message "ISQL02 Registered Successfully" and you can close
that message window.
- Expand "SQL Server Group" - "ISQL02" should be there now. Expand it and then
expand "Databases". Find your group's database and expand it. Here are the tools
you need to create the tables in your DB. Right-clicking on any of them will give you
different options. For example, right-clicking on "Tables" will allow you to create
a new table, etc.
