Here are three papers from the most recent
Symposium on Operating Systems Principles (SOSP). SOSP is one of the top research conferences in operating systems. It is very competitive to get a paper accepted to it. You might be interested in having a look at one or more. It will probably be at least a little frustrating,
but I'm confident you can understand a lot of each of these papers with a little perseverance.
