CSE 451 Confidential Peer Assessment
In order to receive credit for Project 3, you
must send a Confidential Peer Assessment email to
Pete Hornyack
by Monday June 4th at 11:59 p.m.
Write the names of all of your team members
(including yourself!).
Assign an evaluation to each team member
(including yourself!) for his/her performance
averaged across all of the quarter's group projects. The possible
evaluations are:
- Excellent:
Consistently displayed leadership, creativity, and capability;
could always be counted on to do his/her fair share of the work
or more.
- Very good:
Consistently did what s/he was supposed to do; well
prepared and cooperative; I would happily work with this
person again.
- Satisfactory:
Usually did what s/he was supposed to do; acceptably
prepared and cooperative.
- Marginal:
Sometimes failed to show up or complete assignments;
work was sometimes deficient; could not really be counted on;
sometimes not cooperative or well prepared.
- Deficient:
Often failed to show up or complete assignments;
work was often deficient; could not be counted
on; often not cooperative or well prepared.
- Phantom:
Little or no participation or contribution.
If you'd like to provide a few sentences of clarification, that
would be fine, but it's not essential. Note that this is a chance
to acknowledge your teammates who went "above and beyond," or who
did their fair share despite adverse circumstances -- it's not simply
an opportunity to whine and finger-point. Generous recognition of
the contributions of teammates is always welcome. It puts us in a
cheery mood as we grade exams ...
Note: We know that several teams were
re-formed partway into the quarter.
In those cases, please provide an assessment that pertains to
the members of the "final team," going back as far as that team
existed. But provide a sentence or two reminding us of the
transitions that took place.
Only Pete and I will see your Confidential
Peer Assessment.
It will not be otherwise disclosed.
