of the text); except, rather than doing parts 10-12, do 8.4 1-3 instead;

and you can skip 8.9. To summarize:

Hints: to get comfortable with the notation, try going back and forth

between 8.3 and 8.4.

In most cases there will be more than one right answer.

It is not necessary to word-process your answers, as long as they are neat

and 100% legible (we won't try to decipher cryptic handwriting!)
