Formally, a mapping from attribute names to (correctly typed) values:

Sometimes we refer to a tuple by itself: (note order of attributes)

(gizmo, $19.99, gadgets, GizmoWorks) or

Product (gizmo, $19.99, gadgets, GizmoWorks).
