In general, the Review Questions at the end of the chapters are recommended. They cover most of the concepts and terminology. The questions can usually be answered quickly, or the answers quickly located.

A. Problems from Chapter 3, p. 66ff: 3.17, 3.19, 3.21, 3.22, 3.23.

 Friday 10/3: Have read 3.19 and 3.21 carefully and be prepared to discuss in class.

 Monday 10/6: Turn in a worked solution to either of 3.22 or 3.23.

 Wed. 10/8: Have worked out (mentally at least) solutions to the other problems.

B. Think about a database you would find useful in your daily life. What entities, attributes, and relationships suggest themselves? Can you imagine that it would contain examples of all the concepts we talked about? Make a few notes describing your thoughts and bring them to class Wednesday 10/8.
