Project Description

With the imminent completion of the human genome project, the basic sequence for ONE individual will be known. The obvious next step will be to see how we all differ from this arbitrary standard. How prone we are to certain diseases, drug treatments, and the environment will be explained in part by these differences.

We seek a database to allow query of both primary genetic data and population genetic analyses. Primary queries will be:

    by gene
    by chromosome location
    by population
    by site type
    by population genetic parameter

We have published data on a heart disease producing gene available for the project.
