Voting made easy

The Problem

During the 2008 elections, only 41.3% of those earning less than $10,000 voted while 78.1% of those earning more than $150,000 voted. This income correlated voting gap is a fundamental political problem that continues to plagues generations of diverse America.

Our Prototype Solution

Votr is a government-provided voting device designed to increase voter turnout for citizens of low-income communities. Through a single, integrated device, Votr makes voting painless and enables citizens to politically inform themselves anytime, anywhere.

Voter Registration

Voter registration is quick and easy. Citizens insert a government-provided VID (Voter Identification Card) into the device and verify their identity with personal details. If the info matches the VID, the user is instantly registered to vote.

Alignment Assessment

After the user takes a political alignment assessment, the device uses the results to score and rank how much each choice on the ballot matches with the voter's views. These scores and rankings help point the voter in the right direction.

Integrated Ballot

The current election ballot is integrated with the voter's guide (normally provided by the locality) for easy reference and quick background research. Citizens vote confidently with as much information as they want or need at their disposal.

News Updates

Citizens can keep up with news about future ballots without having to leave the device. With easily accessible high quality news feeds from trusted sources, we enable citizens to be continually involved in politics.

Past Results

Voters can instantly check the results of previous elections to get politicaly acclimated. They have no need to frustrate themselves with Googling past elections or digging up old ballots on lackluster county websites.
