Problem Statement
In today’s globalized world, we meet people from all over the world, people who speak many different languages and within those language different vernaculars. Between accents and colloquial phrases, it’s all too easy to become Lost In Translation.
Our Solution
Our goal is to give people who often feel lost or confused because of a language barrier, the ability to feel at ease in all of their interactions. By integrating a person’s phone and watch to a small wearable earpiece we give our users the ability to feel more at ease in their day to day interactions. Using the speakers that are on both the watch and phone and sophisticated natural language processing algorithms we can detect parts of conversations a user may find confusing and allow them the ability to understand language that is not clear to them. A user can choose to use the record functionality of the application which saves conversation from 15 seconds ago which can be played live or at a later time to the user, the user also holds the option to slow the recorded speech down for better understanding. Speech Bubble can also be used to lookup word or phrase meaning and their associated pronunciation through the earpiece.
