"e-z" What?

ezMeter! ezMeter allows you to pay for parking using the convenience of a smartphone. Drivers using ezMeter will be able to associate a paid parking time with their vehicle's license plate number. They can also use ezMeter to look up parking information right from the palm of their hands.

Our Mission

We are dedicated tree huggers, so our main goal with ezMeter was to reduce the paper waste currently generated by parking receipts. We also wanted to improve the experience of paying for parking in the city of Seattle because we believe everyone should be happy, especially when it comes to dealing with street parking.

Design

Design Process

Just like the Great Wall of China, the concept of ezMeter wasn't created in a day. When designing ezMeter, we went through an intensive design process including conducting contextual inquiry and task analysis. We also created paper prototypes and tested them on several participants to see what could be improved with our design. Finally, we used our paper prototypes as inspiration for developing an interactive prototype. Pretty intense, huh?
