Whoa there, you seemed to have clicked on the map tab! While you could use this screen to find rides or look for other RideAlong users near you, the tasks we’re helping you with don't use this screen.

To get back to where you were, click the green back arrow.

Profile Screen

It looks like you've clicked on the profile tab. That's a little self-absorbed, don't you think? The profile tab shows you how other RideAlong members see you. Your profile contains some personal information about yourself, your feedback from other RideAlong users, and the trips you're on or have completed.

We're not going to use your personal profile for any tasks. To get back to where you were, click the green back arrow.

Confirm a Passenger

When you post a ride and other users request to ride along as your passenger, you need to confirm them. Your phone has alerted you that a passenger has sent you a request. To confirm the request, start by clicking the “View” button.

View Pending Requests

A passenger (or passengers) is requesting to join you on your trip from Seattle to Electric City. You have one open spot for passengers. Click the “View Pending Requests” bubble or click on the open passenger square to see who is requesting a ride.

Select a Passenger

There are two passengers requesting to ride along with you. You can click on their photos to view their profiles. Angela has a better rating (number of stars) than Kristen. When you are done viewing profiles, click the “select” button next to Angela to confirm her.

Select Pickup Location

You need to select a place to pick Angela up when you’re ready to leave. This screen shows you were you and Angela are – fortunately, she’s close to you. A default pickup location has already been selected. You could move the pin to change this location, but we’ll assume that this location is fine.

Click “Confirm” to select this pickup location.

Pending Requests – Passenger Selected

The pending requests screen lets you see who you’ve selected so far. If you had more open spaces, you could select additional passengers here. You can also cancel passengers you’ve selected. Kristen is now grayed out because you’ve filled one spot and you don’t have room for any more people.

To confirm Angela as your passenger, click the “Confirm” button.

Trip Details – Passenger Selected

Congratulations! You’ve confirmed a passenger to ride along with you to Electric City. You’ve completed Task 3. Angela now appears in the list of passengers for your ride.
