I still occasionally do research, mostly applying CS theory techniques to problems I think are fun (ask me about fixing the Olympic Badminton Tournament). In my free time I knit, watch baseball, and knit while watching baseball.

About: Hello everyone! My name is Nickolay (Pronounced: Nick-ah-lai) and I am a senior in the ACMS major. I grew up in the greater Boston area, and came to Seattle for my studies and have been loving it ever since. I enjoy exploring the outdoors, learning about languages (programming and spoken), and occasionally playing a game of Valorant. I am excited to be working with you all to learn about the different approaches of solving complex problems along with the associated algorithms. About: I'm a (super) senior in Math, and this is my second time being a TA for 417. I used to do cross-country in high school, and I still frequently put this to use by making literal grocery runs to U Village (RIP unsafeway) and, though I'm loath to admit it, dashing from my apartment to campus 15 minutes before class is supposed to start. Sometimes I listen to Japanese audiobooks and sing Japanese music. If you have any requests and I know the song well enough, I'll consider making a scuffed cover.

Aside from school, I'm on an Indian classical dance team, UW Natya. I love listening to all kinds of music so definitely hit me up with any song recs.
