CSE 415: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence
Here is some enrollment advice.
Prerequisite Topics
Students who wish to take CSE 415 must have adequate prior preparation.
This normally means succeeding in CSE 373. If you are not sure whether
you are prepared for CSE 415, check this
list of topics. If you are missing
more than 20 to 25 percent of these, then consider first doing some
self-study or taking CSE 373 even
if you have substantial programming experience, and then taking
CSE 415 in a future quarter.
There is a self-assessment quiz
available in Canvas for checking your readiness.
To use it, first "enroll" yourselve in its
virtual course
and then do the
assessment.
Getting Registered
Note that CSE course admission is not generally done with add codes,
unlike other departments or schools. The instructor does not give out add codes
for CSE 415.
If you have not been able to register for CSE 415 but have the
background and wish to register, plan to attend lecture the first week of classes.
In the past, most students who did this were able to get registered around the
beginning of the second week of the quarter.
