C/Unix for Windows

Install a Unix environment on your Windows PC!

• Cygwin web site
• Short instructions for installing a minimal Cygwin setup
• You can get emacs for windows by pointing your web browser at ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/emacs/windows. Get the fullbin package. Most windows archive utilities like winzip can unpack it. A version is also available in the cygwin installer, but this one is a stand-alone windows application that can be used outside cygwin for all of your editing needs.
