It is more important that this report be honest than that your team be functioning well. Well functioning teams always have issues that they are resolving, as the needs and priorities of the team and its members change.

From our experience, "Happy Status" reports often indicate a team that is either intentionally hiding its problems, or thinks it has no issues to work thru is probably in the midst of failing. Just be honest about what is working and what is not working as well as you would like.
