Getting Help¶
If you have a general question that other students could potentially benefit from, considering posting on Ed. On Ed, you can also set your questions to private or anonymous as you see appropriate.
For logistical questions (such as extenuating circumstances and DRS accomodations), we ask that you post privately on Ed so the whole staff can respond. For sensitive situations, you can also email Adrian Salguero directly if you would feel more comfortable.
We are often available at other times by appointment, and we encourage you to schedule 1:1 appointments whenever you want to talk about concepts, grades, internships, or anything else.

Hi all, I’m Adrian! I’m an Assistant Teaching Professor here at the Allen School. I earned my B.S. in Computer Science from UC Santa Cruz and earned my Ph.D. in Computer Science at UC San Diego. I did my PhD studies with Leo Porter and Bill Griswold, where I specialized in computer science education research, specifically in factors impacting student success in intro computer science courses. I’m originally from Los Angeles and spent most of life in California. In my free time I enjoy running, weightlifting, baseball, and playing video games (recently completed Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and now replaying Red Dead Redemption 2). Feel free to stop by my office hours or reach out via email if you have any questions regarding the course, computer science in general, or just want to chat!

Hi! I am a Computer Science major here at UW. I spent most of my life here in Washington (more specifically Redmond). I’m interested in gardening and architecture if that’s something you want to talk about! I look forward to teaching you all!
