Project 7, Part II: Professor Meeting Report

Introduction

In Part II of Project 7, you will schedule a time to meet with a professor, faculty member, or instructor at UW. The purpose of asking you to do this is to gain experience reaching out to and connecting with professors, which is important for your academic success and also discovering opportunities and college experiences that you can gain insight on. After meeting with your professor, you will reflect on the experience of meeting with a professor.

Instructions

Navigate to the Project 7, Part II assignment on Canvas. Download the document template titled Project 7.docx. Open the document, read the instructions on the first page, and estimate the amount of time you think it will take you to complete this project. Then, complete parts II and III of the project.

Part II: Professor Meeting Report (20 points)

To give you extra time to setup a meeting with your professors, the professor meeting report is not due until two weeks after the assigned day (see the deadlines listed at the top of the assignment or on the course calendar).

Since some course instructors may take a while to get back to you, we strongly recommend reaching out as soon as possible to set up a meeting. When you do meet, be sure to come prepared with a list of questions to ask. If you have emailed your professors in advance and still believe you will have trouble setting up a meeting with the professor of your choice, please utilize our course's extension request process. See the course syllabus outlining our extension request policy.

In the document Project 7.docx, record how long the project took you in reality and write a short written reflection about your experience completing this project.

Submitting Your Work

Save your changes from the Project 7.docx document as a PDF and submit the document to the assignment titled "Project 7, Part II: Professor Meeting Report" on Gradescope. Project 7 will be considered completed once you have followed these steps.
