Getting Help¶
If you have a general question that other students could potentially benefit from, considering posting on Ed, where you can also set your questions to private or anonymous as you see appropriate.
For logistical questions (such as extenuating circumstances and DRS accomodations), we ask that you post privately on Ed so the whole staff can respond. For sensitive situations, you can also email Alex directly if you would feel more comfortable.
We are often available at other times by appointment, and we encourage you to schedule 1:1 appointments with Alex whenever you want to talk about concepts, grades, internships, or anything else.
Instructor¶
Hey there, I’m Alex! I grew up in Santa Maria, California, and I have lived in Berkeley, San Francisco, and now Seattle for the last five years. I finished my undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley in 2016, and have been working as a software engineer ever since.
While at UC Berkeley, I was both a TA and the summer instructor for the introdutory computer science course, CS10. This will be my first time working as an instructor at UW, and I couldn’t be more excited! In my free time, I love running, traveling, video games, reading, and art! If you have any recommendations for any of these things (or anything at all), please don’t hesitate to share!

I’m a third year studying computer science and in my free time I enjoy coding up side projects, and have been getting more into the robotics scene recently. Hi all! I’m Alex, a senior studying CS. I am excited to TA this course for the second time! I grew up across Europe and China, going to 10 different schools throughout my academic career. In my free time, I am an avid fingerstyle guitar player. I enjoy photography, playing counter-strike, shooting hoops with friends, and volunteering.
