Getting Help

If you have a general question that other students could potentially benefit from, considering posting on Ed! On Ed, you can also set your questions to private or anonymous as you see appropriate.

For logistical questions (such as extenuating circumstances and DRS accommodations), posting privately on Ed is the best way to ensure that you will receive a response in time and lets TAs follow up for you. For sensitive situations, you can also email Sonia directly if you would feel more comfortable (please use your university email for all correspondence).

We are often available at other times by appointment, and we encourage you to schedule 1:1 appointments whenever you want to talk about concepts, grades, internships, or anything else.

Instructor

Hi everyone! I am very excited to be your instructor this quarter! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns throughout the quarter about anything 373-related! I know that all of you are fully capable of learning everything 373 has to offer, and I hope that I am able to best guide you through that journey. I hope you the best of luck and wish to serve you to my fullest potential!

Hey everyone! I’m a rising junior majoring in ACMS: DMA, and this is my first time TAing. I took 373 last quarter, and it quickly became my favorite CSE class. Outside of school, I really enjoy playing tennis, coding, and getting boba.

Hey everyone, my name is Anthony! I am a third-year studying CS with a minor in ELS. I like to spend my free time drinking boba and eating tacos. My go-to boba fluctuates between an oolong milk tea or a ginger milk tea. I look forward to a great quarter with all of you!

Hello! I am a first year student, and I have lived in the greater Seattle area for most of my life. I’m planning to study CS and Informatics until I graduate from UW. I found this class a lot of fun and very practical when I took it this spring. I love staying active in my free time, especially running and hiking. I’m so excited to meet you all! Feel free to email me with any questions about the class or to talk about hobbies.

Hello everyone! I’m currently doing my Master’s in the Allen School after graduating with my BS this past spring. This quarter, I’m also interning at a local software company. CSE 373 is my favorite course in this university and I’m so glad to be back TAing it.

Now that we are in the Seattle Summer✨, you’ll probably see me biking around town a lot. Recently I’ve also been dragged into bouldering by a friend, but I haven’t gotten very good at it :( please send tips!

Hello everyone! My name is Nickolay (Pronounced: Nick-ah-lai) and I am a rising senior in ACMS: Discrete Math and Algorithms. I came to Seattle from the greater Boston area for my studies and love the time I have spent here. I enjoy exploring the outdoors on my bike or on foot, learning about languages (programming and spoken), and occasionally playing a game of Valorant.

I am excited to be a TA for this course not only because it is my first time TAing, but also because I think data structures and algorithms are some of the most practical and fascinating parts of solving complex programming problems. I look forward to meeting you this summer quarter!

Hey everyone! I am a graduate student at CSE working in algorithms and complexity. Often times, my research involves thinking about questions related to combinatorics - the math behind counting objects/patterns in different ways - which I really enjoy. If you want to know more about my research, feel free to send me an email, I will be happy to chat about it!
