• Course Goals
  • If you are continuing in computer science, this course will be helpful as background for courses in machine organization and architecture.  If your goal is computer engineering, then this the the foundational course for studying computer design.  In general, learning about digital design will sharpen your mental model of what a computer really is and how it operates.  Such understanding is valuable regardless of your educational or career goals -- even if your sole interest is in software.

• 370AA Quiz section: Tu 12:30-1:20 in EEB 218
• 370AB Quiz section: Th 12:30-1:20 in BAG 261
• Assignments: Due at the beginning of class (usually on Fridays)
• Biweekly Quizzes: Fridays (makeup quizzes: None. You drop one quiz score at the end of the quarter.)
• Final Exam: 8:30 am, Thursday, March 18
