Homework and Grading

Homework

There will be a homework set every week. Homework will be a combination of paper and pencil written assignments and assignments using Design Works.

Please hand in your assignments on the due date in class. Late assignments will not be accepted.

Quizzes and Exams

There will be 4 or 5 quizzes (bi-weekly) on the material covered during the period between quizzes. There will be a comprehensive final exam.

Grading

We will compute your course grade as follows:

• 50%: Homework
• 25%: Quizzes
• 25%: Final
• Class participation is a bonus. (Class participation is strongly encouraged. Don't be afraid to ask questions by definition, there are no dumb questions. If I ask you a question and you don't know, just say so. That's no problem. I will certainly answer some of your questions also by "I don't know!")
