If you are unfamiliar with the Linux environment, please sign up for the 1-credit class CSE 391: System and Software Tools (time schedule). While not a prerequisite for 351, it is very strongly recommended, as it will teach you Linux skills that will be invaluable for 351 and all of your future CSE courses.
