If you are unfamiliar with the Linux environment, please sign up for the 1-credit class CSE 390A: System and Software Tools (time schedule). While not a prerequisite for 351, it is very strongly recommended, as it will teach you Linux skills that will be invaluable for 351 and all of your future CSE courses. If you are unable to register for 390A, consider reviewing the material from previous quarters of 390A at the course web site.
