See DetailsRevision and Resubmission¶
Learning from mistakes is an important part of mastering any skill, especially for novices. To enable this, you are allowed to revise and resubmit your work on homework assignments to demonstrate improved mastery after your initial submission. See the full resubmission policy in the syllabus
Resubmissions will be graded and the new grades will fully replace the previous grades. The new grade will be based entirely on the resubmitted work, meaning that your grades may go down when resubmitting. In addition, while every effort is made to identify all areas that could be improved when grading, feedback is not guaranteed to be exhaustive. Be sure to consult all available resources and materials to ensure your work meets all guidelines.
To make a resubmission to a homework assignment, follow these steps:
- Make any desired revisions in your homework code and submit the code to the same assignment on Gradescope. We will automatically grade your most recent Gradescope submission as the resubmission.
- Fill out the Google Form provided in the relevant resubmission post on Ed to tell us which assignment you want us to give new feedback on. You will also need to to provide a description of the changes you made from your last submission in the Google Form. (Failure to do so will result in your resubmission not being accepted.) Each week, a new Google Form will be posted on Ed for you to make your resubmission that week.
You may only make one resubmission per resubmission cycle.
Regrade¶
If you believe there was a mistake in our grading of your work resulting in a rubric being incorrectly applied to your submission, you can use the Gradescope Regrade Request tool. Regrade requests will be allowed 24 hours after grades were initially released and will be open for a week.
