What I Eat for Lunch

I recently came out of the army training, which consisted of a BCT (Basic Combat Training) and an AIT (Advanced Individual Training). I put on nearly 5 pounds of pure fat with zero exercise for a month before the enlistment, hoping I will shave off more than 20 pounds during the course of training. Long story short, I lost 1 pound, and now I am on a diet. At the same time, I am not fully committed to give up on my appetite altogether so for one meal, lunch, I try to eat very lightly. And here are some of the mouth-watering food that I've been devouring lately:

Boiled Eggs

It is high in protein and low in fat. Many years ago, I saw that only the whites should be eaten because the yolk is high in cholesterol. However, I've recently read other articles claiming that all the "good" stuff from eggs are contained in the yolk. My laziness prevented me from delving deeper into the subject, unfortunately. However, since I don't like wasting food and there seems to be benefits, I eat the whole thing.

Chicken Breast

Again, high in protein and low in fat. I haven't had this for a while because cooking takes too long (>20 mins). Plus, I only recently learned of cooking oil's nutrition facts (I panfry my chicken breasts; yes, I am on a diet), which is very high in calories and fat. One tablespoon contains more than 100 calories! After I reduced the amount of cooking oil, the taste diminished significantly and that also played a role in not eating these as much lately.

Grape Tomatoes

These are not my favorite food, but there were some at home when I began my diet, and I heard good things about grape tomatoes in terms of health benefits. I still don't know what they are good for exactly, but as long as they are good, these tomatoes won't leave my diet.
