Bob Ross painting on The Joy of Painting
Bob Ross has inspired me to be artistic for as long as I can remember. I would always watch The Joy of Painting with my dad after I got home from school. One of my favorite episodes is when he uses two canvases to paint a summer and a winter scene of the same location beside each other.

"When you go out to paint, try to forget what objects you have before you, a tree, a house, a field or whatever... merely think here is a little square of blue, here an oblong of pink, here a streak of yellow, and paint it just as it looks to you, the exact color and shape, until it gives you your own naive impression of the scene before you."
-Claude Monet
One of my favorite media is pen and ink. I enjoy the precision that can be achieved with the fine tips of pens. The different techniques used in pen and ink drawing allows for beautiful, visual texture to be incorporated into pieces of art.
