Heegi's Kimchi Fried Rice Recipe
This is a recipe I use at home whenever I cook it for myself.
Ingredients
- a splash of vegetable oil
- kimchi, chopped
- a cup of cooked rice (preferably cold)
- 3-4 strips of bacon, chopped
- 1/4 onion, diced
- oyster sauce (or soy sauce)
- sesame oil
- pepper flakes
- sesame seeds
- 2 eggs
Instruction
- In a large pan, heat the oil on medium heat and toss onions in. Wait until onions start to turn yellow/brown, then add chopped kimchi and 2-3 spoons of kimchi juice.
- Add diced bacon and some oyster sauce and stir fry them together for few minutes.
- Once bacon is cooked, lower the heat and add cooked rice. If needed, put some more oil and oyster sauce.
- Put some sesame oil and pepper flakes to enrich the flavor. Serve with fried eggs and sesame seeds. Put some gim(dried seaweed) on the top if you like.
