154 How To:

Frankly, I know only what I know and what I wish I knew. You aren't me (likely) and we all have different needs. That being said, the quintessential They^tm are paying me to be here, so... Take this with a grain of salt, albeit a large grain of salt.

Who am I?

I've been asking myself that for 21 years... I will do my best to answer.

I'm a 3rd year UW student (5-year plan, go me!) studying HCDE and Germanics. My career interests lie in usability testing and accessibility research geared toward disability and feminist studies. Pretty much I want to ask people how annoying tech can be as a nonormative user. (:

I also have a twin brother named Clinton (Bo, really). To the right is our senior portrait from high school.

Clinton has ASD (Autism) and from an early age he has been involved in various disability communities and therapies. My exposure and work with him directed my work to disability and accessibility studies. He also continues to embarrass me in Temple Run. It's a disgusting loss, honestly.

I started at the newspaper back at Bothell High School and have continued my work at The Daily here on campus as Design Editor. I've included a couple spreads that I like from The Daily!

Other Random Nonsense About Me

To be frank this is just me looking through my old photos. More for me than you.

I have a cat named Kat (she was an itty-bitty kitty and now she's a fat kat) but she currently lives with my older brother in Portland, Oregon. Love her to bits!

Me with Kat on my chest, awkwardly laying uside down.

I did theater in high school, maining doing tech. I did act in the no-cut one acts but that wasn't for me. You can see the dead look in my eyes in these promotional pics we took at 5 in the afternoon.

Me staging a scene for a HS one act performance.

I love bagels. I eat one for breakfast every morning, but I do not like mornings. Sorry to those in my section this quarter at 8:30 am... yuk.

Me in my kitchen, entirely hidden by my giant hoodie.

I am very close with my family. I have 2 brothers and my ma and pa. I'm pretty partial to them. My brother and dad are also software developers. Most of my aunts and uncles too. I go to comic con with my mom every year.

Older brother and parents and me. My mom and I.

I also like to play DnD, but I have few pictures of us actually playing. My friends and a cool dice bag.

My dnd friends posed by a Christmas tree.

I am a Germanics major and like to believe I can speak German. I studied abroad in Germany twice, as well as in London and Paris. "I love to travel" is a stereotypical statement for a reason.

Old town block. I am bundled up and squinting in the sun.

I have 10 tattoos and am not stopping any time soon. I have plans to beat my mom at like, 22. Talk to me about them! My favorite is Dr. Worm, listen to the song that inspired it by They Might Be Giants, my favorite band.

Getting the tattoo, laid out. Line work of tattoo. Worm at a drum set. All healed tattoo of a worm at a drum set!
