CSE 143: Homework 0

Not Graded

To practice turning in homework, fill out this form, and then submit it by clicking the TURN IN button at the bottom. If all goes well, you will receive a "Receipt" page automatically. Please make sure that you get back what you think you turned in.

Please do not print this turn-in form itself before clicking the TURN IN button: Doing so may cause your machine to crash.

Non-IPL users please note:

This form will work with recent versions of Netscape, but may not work with early versions, or with some other Web browsers. In particular, it does not work with Microsoft Internet Explorer older that version 4.0. The problem is with the "Browse" button at the end of the section called "Give us your C program." You will need to take your files to a system with Netscape and do the turn-in there.

1. Who are you?

2. Which system/compiler did you use?

You will normally be asked to tell us which compiler you used. We use this information for several purposes, so please be sure you always do this part. For now, tell us which compiler you plan to use:

If "Other", specify:

3. Give us your C++ program file.

This is where you usually turn in your program files. There are often several files to turn in, but for this practice form, just turn in one. Please observe the following:

readme.txt [Tab Setting: ]
Note: if you do not see a "Browse" button at the right end of the lines above, it means your Web browser doesn't support the "file upload" feature. You won't be able to use this form. Possible solutions: take your files to a machine with Netscape (such as in the IPL) and do the turn-in there, or acquire a Web browser which suppports file upload.

Note about tabs: By default, tab characters in your file will align at regular column intervals in the Receipt you receive after submitting this form. If your indentation looks messed up, then click the "Back" button in your browser, change the tab setting pull-down menu above, and try again. The default is 4 in MSVC and 8 in some other compilers.

4. A quick survey

We usually have a quick survey here, which we use to help us track how much time people are spending on the homework, how difficult it is, etc. We'll skip this for now, but please take an extra moment to fill it in as accurately as possible when you turn in your real homework.

5. Press this button when you are ready to turn it in:

If there is no response immediately, please try to be patient for a few minutes. If you want to back out and try again, hit the Stop botton on the tool bar; please don't press the TURN IN button again until you've done this.

Do not forget to print and turn in the "Receipt" page that you will receive after clicking "TURN IN". For your records, you may wish to keep a copy of your final receipt.

If there are errors, you'll be told, and you can turn-in again. You can turn in as many times as you wish; only the last turn-in will be graded. Previous turn-ins are not graded .
