CSE143 Notes for Friday, 6/4/21

I spent time discussing the final and its structure with some tips about each question.

I also mentioned that at the University of Arizona I used to teach a third course that would complete the coverage of object oriented programming. In spring of 2007 I taught a course CSE190L that was similar to that course. The course web page has lecture notes and assignments in case you want to pursue this on your own. I also highly recommend the textbook we used, Core Java.

I also talked about courses to take after CSE143 and mentioned that the list of nonmajors courses is a useful resource. I specifically mentioned that CSE372 is a continuation of this course that explores more advanced aspects of data structure and algoriths, CSE154 is a great course for learning about web programming, CSE163 is a course that focuses on using Python for data science applications, and CSE374 is a course that covers C and some C++ with an orientation to lower-level systems programming.
