Welcome to CSE/ENGR 142. We will use this page to make the most important announcements about the class. The newest messages are listed first. Check here often!
For routine class business and discussions of specific questions about homework or class material, check the "cse142" mailing list. In case you chose not to subscribe to the mailing list, please check its archive from time to time.

Curious to know how you did on your final exam? Come to the Computer Science and Engineering office in Sieg 114. Identify yourself as a student in 142 to the receptionist. That person will either get you your test right away or take your name and ask you to come back later to pick it up. We will eventually have an answer key posted on the web; it's not there yet, however.
The mean score for the final, converted to a percentage, was within a hair of the mean value for the midterm test: 72.7%.

It's all over now...all but getting your grade.
We expect to report the grades to the Registrar tomorrow (Monday at the latest), and you can get them via STAR shortly after that. Sorry, we won't be responding to individual grade requests.
Want to see your final exam? Watch this messages page for information on how to do this. The Spring 97 web will remain active, even though a Summer 97 web will shortly pop up. For reference, the URL is http://www.cs.washington.edu/education/courses/142/97sp. Don't use a URL with "CurrentQtr" in it or you will land in whatever the current quarter happens to be rather than Spring 97.
The cse142 mailing lists will be cleared shortly to prepare for Summer Quarter. You do NOT have to "unsubscribe."
Have a great summer!

You could spend a couple of hours tracing the dynamic calls for HW5 -- but you don't need to. See recent messages on the CSE142 mailing list archive on this subject. Especially look at this message and this one.

We'll have some tutorials in the IPL starting as early as Tuesday, 5/6, to help you get started on the debugger. Keep checking the tutorials schedule. There are some tips on using the debugger, and you can also learn a lot by playing around on your own.

Homework #1 is available on the Web! It's due Friday, April 11 (today's in-class handout had an error in the due date). Have fun.

Homework #1 has not been announced and therefore does not exist! If you started working on something -- sorry! Please start over after it's official.
