Some pages (e.g., lecture slides) aren't viewable

Q: Hello, i had a quick question, when i download the quick reference card it comes up in micro. word and the format is strange all numbers and shapes, same as when i tried to download homework for homework0. but it works fine at school. is it because my home pc doesn't have something it needs to format the text that i download from the cse website to my home pc? thank you.

A: We distribute some of our pages as PDF files (a highly compressed format for text and images).  The Adobe Acrobat Reader must be installed as a plug-in to your browser to view these files.  Fortunately, it's free, and can be obtained by following the link in the previous line.
