WHERE DID YOU GROW UP? WHAT WAS YOUR ACADEMIC PATH?

I was born in San Diego California and moved up to Federal Way, Washington when I was 6
and have been here ever since!

I’m currently studying a double major in computer science and Social Work and will
graduate in 2019! (hopefully?)

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST EXPOSURE TO COMPUTER SCIENCE?

Prior to college, I never had any exposure to computer science. I came into UW wanting to
major in Aerospace Engineering but I took CSE 142 to explore the potential of doing
computer science as a major. It turned out that I loved the class and had tons of fun
doing the assignment as they were very interesting and intellectually stimulating.

WHAT GETS YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT COMPUTER SCIENCE?

The potential to combine computer science with education excites me the most. I want to
work on developing student technologies in the future for better student access to
education. The amount of potential behind the applications of computer science in education
is extremely promising and is the thing that gets me most excited about computer science!
